A Note from Our President

Kudos to Friends of the Library for their support of and participation in the used book sale, Bean & Bacon Days parade, and summer reading program. Our appreciation goes out to Barb Pritzl and crew at the Senior/Community Center, to the school janitors, and all the book donors. Thanks to the kids, parents, and volunteers who produced that awesome parade float. To those of you who are now helping out and supplying treats for the summer reading program--hip hip hooray! We love our Augusta Public Library and we love our Friends!

ATTENTION ASPIRING PHOTOGRAPHERS!

If you love photography, scavenger hunts, and/or general opportunities to show off your skills, the library has an exciting opportunity for you! It will be sponsoring a photographic scavenger hunt; you snap pictures of the items on the list and, if you're 18 or older, win prizes for your efforts. If you'd like to share your talent with the world (or at least the Augusta community), you can also have your work displayed in the library. The list will make its official debut on July 15, so keep your eyes peeled and your cameras ready!
